VST3 modulein the NoAMP zipv0.3.1
A liquid sweep with a wild streak. Four voiced phasers, from a gentle whisper to a heavy storm, plus a true through-zero flanger, all riding one LFO that can drift so the sweep breathes instead of ticking like a metronome. The meter at the top shows one lime tick for every notch that is moving.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Voicing | The character. Mist: a gentle 4-stage sweep. Swirl: a hollow 4-stage with regeneration. Cathedral: a deep 8-stage stereo sweep. Storm: 6 stages with heavy built-in wander. Flange: a true through-zero flanger, the full tape-null jet. The first time you pick one of the four phasers its knobs jump to that voicing's own settings; after that each voicing remembers yours, saved with the session. |
| Stages | Voiced (the voicing's own count) or 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12. More stages, more notches. No effect in Flange. |
| Rate | Sweep speed, 0.02 to 10 Hz (default 0.50 Hz). Greyed while Sync is on. |
| Sync + Division | Sync locks one sweep cycle to a note value at the host tempo: 4/1, 2/1, 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/4., 1/4T, 1/8, 1/8., 1/8T, 1/16, 1/16T (default 1/8). |
| Depth | How far the sweep travels, 0 to 100% (default 70%). |
| Color | Feedback, 0 to 97%. Sharpens the notches toward a vocal, resonant sweep. |
| Width | Stereo offset between left and right, 0 to 100%. 0 = mono sweep. |
| Haze | The chaos: random wander of the sweep's rate and position. 0 is perfectly regular; a little is organic drift; a lot is weather. |
| Mix | Dry/wet, 0 to 100% (default 50%). |
| Output | Output level, −24 to +12 dB. |
The HAZE card on the board runs the same engine and adds a sixth voicing, Advanced, which shows every control. There, each voicing shows only the knobs it uses, a Stereo switch moves Haze after the amps, and NERD adds Spread (notch spacing) and Regen (drive inside the feedback). See HAZE in the NoAMP manual.
| Engine | voiced allpass cascade, 2 to 12 stages; through-zero flanger line; chaotic drift; stereo |
| Sync | host tempo, 12 note values from 4/1 to 1/16T |
| Switching | on/off crossfades, no clicks |
