VST3 modulein the NoAMP zipv0.1.1
The board's front-of-chain compressor as its own pedal: a fast feedback-style squeeze that keeps funk quacks even, fattens cleans and feeds your dirt a steady level, so your hands still decide the gain. There is no threshold knob: it sits at a fixed level and Input decides how hard you hit it.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| On | Off is a true bypass. |
| Ratio | 4:1 (default), 8:1, 12:1, 20:1, or All: the slam, about 25:1 with a lower threshold, a hard knee and some grit. |
| Input | Drive into the fixed threshold, −12 to +36 dB. More Input, more squeeze. |
| Output | Makeup gain, −24 to +24 dB. |
| Attack | How fast it grabs, from about 20 µs (0%) to 800 µs (100%). Slower lets the pick attack through. |
| Release | How fast it lets go, about 50 ms to 1.1 s, and slower on sustained notes so held chords breathe. |
| Mix | Parallel blend of dry and compressed (default 100%). |
The SQUATCH card adds a sixth mode, OTA, a sustain-pedal style compressor where Input becomes Sustain and Output becomes Level. NORM shows Input, Output and Mix; NERD adds Attack and Release. See SQUATCH in the NoAMP manual.
| Topology | feedback-style detector with program-dependent release, soft-knee gain cell |
| Path | zero latency, click-free bypass, parallel mix |
